In compliance with New York State guidelines for schools, the Ballet Center is currently closed.
Summer 2020 Note: At this time, we are planning to have a Summer Program. The dates for the program, along with what the program will look like, are being determined. The program will be developed in compliance with New York regulations and guidelines for gatherings and will be done in a way to ensure the health and safety of our students and faculty. Updates will be provided on the website and via emails to Ballet Center families.
Help Support Ithaca Ballet:
Dance For Giselle
|We are living through challenging times both for ourselves and for the economy. Ithaca Ballet, like many other arts organizations throughout the country, has not escaped the impact of the current pandemic. Last month, we made the painful but necessary decision to suspend all of our normal programming including the spring production of Giselle (originally scheduled for April 24 and 25) to safeguard the health of our dancers and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. We know this was the right decision, but like many other arts organizations, we are now facing a significant shortfall in our annual revenue which is largely derived from ticket sales from our four annual productions.|
I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help and support. Several of our alumni dancers who have had or are currently enjoying professional careers have volunteered their time and talent to raise money for Ithaca Ballet through a series of live Zoom ballet classes. With their help, we will be reaching out to friends and contacts from across the country and Europe as well as to our local community to encourage participation and/or support of our DANCE FOR GISELLE Campaign.
You can lend your support in one of two ways, either by being an active participant in one more of these Zoom classes or by making a tax-deductible donation to support the ballet. All of the money raised through this campaign will support Ithaca Ballet and allow us to help keep our programming affordable for our community and help us maintain our current level of excellence in training and programming.
